Abe’s Vegan Muffins has announced an upcoming partnership with the home entertainment release of Minions: The Rise of Gru. In collaboration with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and Illumination Entertainment, Abe’s will launch a limited edition, Minions-inspired flavor to help spread the word about the film.

In the spirit of the mischievous Minions, Abe’s has added a little extra mayhem to its muffins with chocolate chips, creating the ultimate Banana Chip Mini Muffin flavor. The team has received many consumer requests for a banana-flavored mini-muffin. In fact, soon after releasing a banana pound cake back in 2020, the flavor quickly became their best-selling pound cake variety.

“Our busiest time of year is during the back-to-school seasons when parents are looking for ways to get their kids excited about lunchtime,” says Abe’s co-founder Marty Koffman. “What’s better, is that our ‘school-friendly’ manufacturing process ensures that kids feel included and genuinely enjoy what they’re eating, despite potential dietary restrictions and/or food allergies.”

Abe’s will offer retail partners custom in-store signage calling out the collaboration to vegan & “school-friendly” categories next to its display. The promotion will run from August to mid-October.

The Minions Banana Chip Mini Muffins will be available in 6 (SRP $3.49-$4.49) and 12 (SRP: $5.49-$6.49) packs.
