Ingredients
For the apple filling
- 3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 3 medium Honey Crisp apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- ¼ cup Domino® Dark Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
For the topping
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup Domino® Dark Brown Sugar
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
- ½ cup chopped pecans
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl combine apples, sugar, lemon juice, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the mixture into an 8x8 baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the butter, and using a pastry blender or a fork, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in the pecans. Add topping to apple mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the apples are soft and the topping is golden brown. Remove from oven. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
