DoorDash reveals most popular Easter candy
With spring in full bloom and Easter just around the corner, DoorDash took a look at some of the most popular and unexpected seasonal trends, including fan-favorite candy preferences.
While Halloween is time for candy lovers, Easter candy reigns supreme as the ultimate holiday candy of choice. According to a survey of more than 2,000 Americans who plan to celebrate, 31 percent say Easter is their favorite holiday candy, followed by Halloween candy (29 percent) and Christmas candy (24 percent).
According to DoorDash ordering data from 2023, this was the top ordered Easter candy nationwide:

- Hershey's Kisses Milk Chocolate Candy Share Pack

- Lindt Milk Chocolate Bunny
- Dove Milk Chocolate Easter Eggs
- Peeps Marshmallow Chicks Candy
- Ferrero Rocher Fine Hazelnut Chocolates Easter Bunny
Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs were the overwhelming favorite in state-by-state results, as seen in the graphic at the beginning of this article. It’s the most popular candy in over 70 percent of states.
More Easter findings from DoorDash’s report:
- This year, Easter revelers have a lot to look forward to - with 70 percent of Americans planning to partake in a special Easter meal, whether it’s a festive brunch or traditional dinner.
- There was a 165 percent spike in champagne orders the day before and on Easter in 2023 with over 50 percent spike in orange juice, too, as mimosa enthusiasts enjoyed this classic brunch cocktail.
- While the beloved tradition is a highlight of the holiday for many kids, nostalgia for the classic Easter egg hunt runs deep with adults, with 74 percent of Easter revelers claiming that egg hunts should be for adults (18+) too.
- Seventy percent of those celebrating Easter plan to buy an empty basket and fill it with their curated items, vs. buying pre-made.
