Versatile depositors make the difference

12.22.2023

Retail bakeries are always changing items with the seasons. Therefore, they need a depositor that will be versatile, according to Jim Fontaine, bakery field sales manager, Reiser, Canton, Massachusetts.

“Seeing that retail bakeshops are small, and most many don’t have maintenance personnel, this unit must be extremely dependable, and easy to operate, maintain, and clean,” Fontaine explains.

“The depositor must be mobile and take up little floor space, as most retail bakeries don’t have a lot of room to work with. Easy to load hoppers, quick cleanout when going from one variety to another or sanitizing due to allergens is a must. Easy to handle attachments with quick changeover time is also vital.”

Available from Reiser, both the Vemag HP1-B and Vemag 500 are perfect for small to mid-size retail bakeries. Both machines are very versatile and can be used to produce a wide range of products.

Both have a small footprint, are mobile, and accessories are easy to handle for changeover and cleaning. Both machines are small, robust, and dependable. The HP1-B is ideal for smaller bakeries looking to move away from hand portioning and into more automated production with precise portioning.

The Vemag 500 is more powerful and provides increased production. Gentle handling of the dough and inclusions, accurate scaling, fast and easy cleaning, and no divider oil needed are hallmarks of all Vemag depositors.

“And like everything Reiser sells, the machines are backed up by the best service and support in the industry,” Fontaine says.

Consumers are always looking for new things to try, so having a single depositor that can deposit soft bread dough, cookie dough, thick/thin batters, icings, etc. gives the retail baker an advantage in meeting those consumer demands, he adds. As consumer demands change, the Vemag allows bakers to easily change with them.

“Reiser is unique in that we have a dozen bakery specialists on staff to help integrate our machines into our customer’s operation smoothly. Our specialists love to be on the floor helping customers maximize the ability of our equipment,” Fontaine says.
