Thomas’ Bagels to celebrate National Bagel Day in a big way
Last year, Thomas’ Bagels, a brand of English muffins and bagels owned by Bimbo Bakeries USA, officially registered January 15 as the new date for National Bagel Day. With its milestone 140th anniversary and the food holiday approaching, the brand is preparing for a big celebration.
On Wednesday, January 15 at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia and Union Station in Los Angeles, Thomas’ Bagels will have a larger-than-life bagel wall for people to take photos and pick up free Thomas’ bagel and cream cheese in honor of National Bagel Day. Additionally, Thomas’ will have street teams in Orlando, Denver, and Chicago handing out free bagels and cream cheese to bagel fans looking to celebrate alongside the Thomas’ brand.
There will also be a search for the orange and golden ticket. One lucky winner in each of the five cities – Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver and Orlando – will find their bagel has an orange ticket granting them a smart watch. Fans will also have a chance to find the golden ticket to win the grand prize of a $2,500 grocery shopping spree.
In honor of National Bagel Day, Thomas’ is partnering Operation Warm to make a $100,000 donation of 7,500 coats nationwide. At a local school in each of the five cities, the brand is hosting a breakfast feast for the students and providing them with 500 brand new coats to keep warm this winter.
